Biography of Bonnie O'Neil

Bonnie is an internationally recognized expert on data warehousing and business rules, a regular speaker at many Oracle conferences and the Business Rules Forum.  She is a founder of the standards body known as the Business Rules Group and the ODTUG Business Rules Symposium.

Bonnie's unique business rules approach to data warehouse development and expansion identifies the rules implicit in the data and helps businesses fix their processes in less time and with greater accuracy. Her approach establishes a feedback loop that helps businesses resolve problems caused by faulty business rules.  In addition, this approach establishes an audit trail and ensures traceability of the business rules, which is critical for most compliance programs, especially Sarbanes-Oxley.   Sarbanes-Oxley forces the CEO to sign-off on the accuracy of the reports generated from that data. Bonnie believes her approach is the fastest, safest, and surest path between here and de facto Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. She is the author of two database books including Oracle Data Warehousing Unleashed, as well as over 40 articles and technical white papers.
